The Journal Of Jacob Cross
Jun. 6th, 2012 05:07 pmA blip from the beginning of a Supernatural fic that I'm currently working on. It's taking forever and a day because I want to get the SPN lore right. And I'm so far behind in the SPN TV show... I should probably get caught up before I get too into the writing. :P

"The word is full of terrible things. Darkness and shadows that far surpass those in the hearts and minds of mere men. Evil beyond any and all normal comprehension. Coldness that can freeze to the bone in an instant and fire that burns all the way to the center of the soul just as quickly.
I know all of this to be true, though it took a very long time for me to accept it. I didn’t want to believe that the world could be so thusly twisted—and I still don’t. But there is much to be said for personal experience, which is something I have had more than my share of over the years.
My name is Jacob Joshua Cross, proudly named after my father and his father before him. I am a Hunter. This is my journal; these are my words, my writings and observations. May they help you see the unseen, believe in it and understand it. May they help you keep safe those whom you care for—those whom you love.
May they help you survive."
